Role Purpose

To encourage the reading culture by serving clients in-store, online and at events or activations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Deliver outstanding customer service and book recommendations

● Drive in-store and online sales by promoting offers, loyalty programs, and new arrivals

● Update and maintain accurate inventory across store and e-commerce platforms

● Participate in merchandising, marketing events, and store activations

● Take high-quality book photos for social media posting

● Support school and institutional partnerships for B2B sales

● Record and report new stock arrivals, especially by Kenyan authors

● Collaborate on store displays, seasonal packages, and online promotions

Professional Qualification and Experience

A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage

● At least 2 years of prior experience in retail, bookstores, or customer-facing roles preferred

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

● Basic knowledge of POS systems and e-commerce platforms

● Passion for books and promoting a reading culture

● Creative, detail-oriented, and a team player

● Willingness to work weekends and attend promotional events
